Obituary for John Charles Gomber
John Gomber passed away peacefully in his home after a brief illness. He was a resident of Vacaville since 1975. John was born in Oconto Fall, Wisconsin. He graduated from Pulaski High School and earned an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Solano Community College. John was a veteran who served 22 years in the U.S. Air Force. Following his retirement from military service, he worked another 14 years and retired again from the California Department of Corrections in Vacaville. John was a member of the Vacaville Moose Lodge. He enjoyed his friends and family. John was an avid Packers fan and Liked RVing across the country with his wife. John was preceded in death by his mother Emma Kreischer; sister Mona LeMay and brothers-in-law Melvin LeMay; and Dick Weber. He is survived by his wife off 55 years Takeko Gomber; daughter Tammy Rodarte; son-in-law Buddy Rodarte; gandsons Ricky Rodarte and Joseph (Joey) Rodarte; great-grandson Ricky Rodarte Jr.; future daughters-in-law Catherine Kuykendall and Courtney Barker; sisters, Carol Weber and Patsy Murach; brother-in-law Louis Murach; and many nieces and nephews. Per John's request, burial will be private at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery.
