Obituary for Jessica Beth Moreno
Jessica Beth Moreno, of Dixon, Ca, was born on Aug. 13, 1979. She was the youngest child and only daughter of Mario and Irene Moreno. Jessica battled for many years with Juvenile Diabetes, eventually suffering from the effects of kidney failure. She drew comfort from the other people she connected with who are fighting the same condition. She passed away peacefully in her sleep in the afternoon of Sunday, Sept. 28. Jessica's favorite pastime was spending time with her daughter, Jayden. She loved to keep in touch with her extended family and many friends on Facebook. She also loved listening to music, reading books, and watching musical theatre. Jessica loved to travel and her favorite place of all was Hawaii. She asked that in the event of her death her ashes be scattered there. Many knew Jessica from her time spent as a waitress at various restaurants in Dixon and the surrounding area. She was a warm and loving individual who made friends naturally. With a passion for helping others, she also studied and earned a degree to be a Medical Assistant, and worked briefly in two different medical assistant positions, while her health would still allow it. Jessica is survived by her daughter, Jayden; parents, Mario and Irene; and brothers, Mario Jr. (wife, Belinda), Martin, and Gabe. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 11, at 1 p.m., at Milton Carpenter Funeral Home, 596 North First St., in Dixon, Ca.
