Obituary for Jesse Joe Cassle
Jesse Joe Cassle died October 10, 2012, 38 days after his loving wife, Betty, at the age of 86 from complications from several illnesses, but most of all from a broken heart. He is now with his sweetheart of 65 years, and his Lord and Savior. Joe was born on February 11, 1926, to Jesse W. and Sallie R. Cassle in Lockney, Texas. He was the youngest of eleven children. His family moved to Brawley, California when he was 11. When he was 17, his family moved to Riverside. He enlisted in the Navy where he was assigned to the USS Kenton during WWII. In 1947 he met and married his wife, Betty, and soon started their family. Joe and Betty moved to South Lake Tahoe in 1961 where they started their successful construction company known as Cassle Construction. Retiring in their early 50’s, they traveled all over Mexico in their motor home, and spent many happy winters in their Lake Havasu home. Joe loved to fish, fish and fish, and won numerous fishing tournaments. We all remember his amazing salsa and fish fries. He also enjoyed playing chess with his sons, grandsons and great grandson. He was very proud of his yard and beautiful rose garden. In 2003, Joe and Betty moved to Vacaville to be near their daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joe is survived by Linda Hallstrom (Phil), Ronnie Cassle (Mary) and Rick Cassle; grandchildren, Carrie Davis (Tommy), Christopher Hallstrom (Kimberly), Darrel Cassle, Crista Cassle, Amber Cassle, Michael Cassle and John Cassle; and great grandchildren, Tyler and Sydney Davis and Maxton Hallstrom. Also, his loving sister, Catherine Vesia. Joe is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Joe and Betty spent their last few months at Paramount House Senior Living where they touched many lives. The family would like to thank special care givers Joan, Nina, Joy, Jessica, Sophia and Lea. Dad, keep catching the big ones.
