Obituary for Jerome "Jerry" A. Crane
Jerome “Jerry” Crane, 79, of Fairfield, California, passed away peacefully on Feb. 6, 2019, of natural causes. Jerry was born in Portland, Oregon, to Joseph Ethelbert Crane and Rosa Mae Proctor, survived by brothers, Joe R. “Poppy” Crane and Roland Crane; sisters, Joan Winrow and Gail Knight, MD.
Jerry, a retired Msgt. spent 28 years in the United States Air Force playing both trombone and string bass. His love of music took him all over the world entertaining troops, as well as traveling with the USO.
Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jonathan Crane; and son, Randall Crane. Survived by his wife of 54 years, Henny Crane; son’s, John Buchanan and Chuck Tayag; daughters, Cleo and husband, Robert Grimm, Rosa and husband, Lawrence Obetz; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and his four legged son, Chico.
Jerry never met a stranger and was loved by all. His sprit will live on in everyone who loved him.
