Obituary for Jeffery F. Jang
Jeffery F. Jang, age 62, of Vacaville, California passed away unexpectedly on August 17, 2019. Jeff was a third generation native San Franciscan born on May 20, 1957. He was very much interested in marine biology and graduated from San Francisco State University. Professionally, Jeff enjoyed a 35 year career as a store manager with major retailers. His career also included real estate. After retiring in 2018, he worked part time as an engineer at the Courtyard by Marriott in Vacaville.
Jeff is survived by his loving wife Maria (Gonzalez) Jang, wonderful children Audrey Jang and Ryan Jang, mother Rowena L. Jang of Daly City and his sister, Jaye (Jang) Van Kirk and husband Tim Van Kirk of San Diego. Jeff is preceded in death by his father, Joseph F. Jang. Jeff was also a significant positive presence to his extended family.
His biggest joy was spending time with friends and family. He will fondly be remembered for his exceptional cooking skills. Respect for and preservation of marine life defined some of his many passions. He was also very adventurous and took great pleasure in a variety of outdoor recreational activities like scuba diving, jet skiing, dirt bike riding, skiing, and golfing. He liked traveling abroad and to tropical destinations with his family.
Jeff’s generous spirit provided support to many people that came into his life. In recognizing each person’s potential, he constantly encouraged those around him to step out of their comfort zones and try new things. Jeff is respected and admired for his boundless selfless acts of assisting others. He will be deeply missed by family, friends, neighbors, co-workers and all who had the chance to experience his kind, generous spirit and sense of humor.
Friends and family are invited to a viewing on Wednesday August 28, 2019 from 6 to 8 PM and rosary at 7 PM at the McCune Garden Chapel, 212 Main Street, Vacaville, Ca 95688. Mass will be held on Thursday August 29, 2019 at 11 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church 1791 Marshall Road, Vacaville, Ca 95687.
