James William Howard, 90, of Vacaville passed away the evening of August 1st, 2024. He was born May 1st, 1934 to the late Richard D. Howard and Marie A. Howard in Washington DC. He was a Tuskegee Airmen in the Air force for 20 years before retiring and continuing his career at Exxon Oil giving them 32 years of service. James’ motto was “a body in motion stays in motion”, so he worked until the end. However, that didn't stop him from traveling the world on his Harley Davidson or giving back to various charities in his spare time. James is survived by his grandson: Alfonso (Shantell), great grandchildren: Erica, Di’Anna, Alfonso Jr. and Alexus, 9 great great grandchildren, sister in love: Carol Howard, Nephew: Richard Howard, his lifelong best friend: John Kato, and a host of very special family and friends. He was preceded in death by his only daughter Denise, grandson Diablo, his 4 siblings: Robert, Charles, Richard and Virginia, his favorite niece Cheryl and his parents.
A memorial service will be held Thursday August 29th 2024 at 11:30am at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery.
