James A Vanderway, 84, passed away May 6, 2024 at home.
He was born in Billingham, Washington.
He joined the U. S. Navy at 17 and served for 4 years.
He then enlisted in the U. S. Air Force and served for 16 years.
Jim was an avid fisherman and hunter.
He loved old cars and you could see him driving around Fairfield and at car shows in his green 1962 Willys pickup.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years Margaret Vanderway, brother Robert Vanderway of Marysville, Washington, sister Doris Vanderway of Everett, Washington, as well as many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, please give to your favorite charity or Shriners Hospital.
Jim was preceded in death by his daughter Debra Vanderway and brother George Vanderway.
Burial will be in Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, California, date pending.
