Jack Douglas Anderson, 71 of Vacaville lost his brave fight after 10 months of battling lung cancer at his home on Oct. 28. He was born in Los Angeles on March 13, 1939.Jack Douglas Anderson, 71 of Vacaville lost his brave fight after 10 months of battling lung cancer at his home on Oct. 28. He was born in Los Angeles on March 13, 1939.Jack served in the United States Air Force for 28 years retiring in 1984. He then when onto work at the Solano County Sheriff Department for 10 years retiring in 1994.He was preceded in death by his parents Rena and Albert Anderson.Jack is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sherrie Anderson of Vacaville; daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and James Lee of Vacaville; son, Todd Anderson of Vacaville; brother, Clint Anderson of Santa Barbara; 5 grandchildren, Jaclyn and Jeff Pledger of Vacaville, Katelyn, Diona and Breanna Lee of Sacramento; 3 great-grandchildren, Jaron, Audrey and Jayden of Vacaville; many cousins and loving friends.We love and miss you dearly, may you rest in peace, Always Your Loving Family.A graveside service with full military honors will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 10, at 2 p.m. at Sacramento National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to the Lung Cancer Society of America.
