Obituary for Henry Reyes
Henry (Nick) Reyes was born in Oakland, Calif. on May 18, 1933 and passed peacefully in his home Aug. 20, 2012. Henry joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1950 and served in the Korean War until 1952. He worked for Basic Vegetable for a number of years. After which, he was hired by the City of Vacaville as a maintenance worker and retired after 33 years of service. Henry enjoyed rooting for the SF 49ers and spending time with his family. He was well known for his generous heart and his great sense of humor; he is the definition of a people person. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Darlene; brothers, Gilbert and Edmundo. He is survived by daughters Fernanda, Monica, Gina, and Linda; sons Eric, Nicholas, and Bobby; sister Socorro; brother Rex; and many beloved, grandchildren family and friends. Funeral service will be held at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Thursday, Aug. 30, at 2:30 p.m. and followed by a reception.
