Obituary for Helen V. Wheeler
Loving mother, Helen V. Wheeler passed away peacefully in her home on March 1st 2016 in Vacaville CA. at the age of 89. Helen is survived by three of her four children; Arend J. Wheeler of Sacramento CA., Steven S. Wheeler also of Sacramento CA. and Jeffrey A. Wheeler of Deer Park WA. She is preceded in death by her father and mother Herbert and Myrtle Dillender of Tucson AZ, husband Arend E. Wheeler of Vacaville CA and son Edwin Russell Wheeler of Los Angeles CA. Grandmother of 17 and Great Grandmother of 24, her children and grandchildren were her greatest passion. She never stopped mourning the loss of her loving husband who departed in 2005. Helen was born on November 28th 1926 in Hayden AZ. to Herbert and Myrtle Dillender. She married “the love of her life” Arend E. Wheeler, in Tucson AZ. on January 1st 1945 then, were sealed together for eternity in the LDS Temple in Oakland on April 2nd 1966. She was an active and dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many callings. Helen was deeply loved by all that knew her. Her quick wit, her beautiful smile and timely council will be missed by many. A viewing will be held at McCune Garden Chapel, 212 Main St. Vacaville CA from 5:00-8:00 PM Thursday March 10th. An additional viewing is scheduled for 9:00 AM March 11th at the LDS Church, 480 Wrentham Dr. Vacaville, CA with services following at 10:00 AM. A grave dedication at Vaca-Elmira Cemetery 522 Elmira Rd. Vacaville, will conclude the services. Bishop Mike Sandifer conducting. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Helen’s life. The family would like to thank all who contributed to her care and well being over the years. You are all deeply appreciated.
