Obituary for Harold Pierre
Harold Pierre passed away on January 21, 2013. He passed peacefully at David Grant Hospital surrounded by loved ones. He was born January 28, 1941. There are so many wonderful qualities we could highlight about our dad however only one word encompasses what he was to all of us…Hero. He perilously instilled in us all the most important facts in life…be who you are and love each other. My father was the most loving and loyal husband to my mother who preceded him in death, was the most supportive and inspiring father to his children and grandchildren and the most compassionate and generous brother and friend. He ended each day with gratitude for the relationships that he had knowing that they were genuine and lifelong. He never hesitated to listen, advise and support anyone who needed it. That quality alone gave him a sense of peace at the end of each day that many of us couldn’t understand considering all the challenges he faced during his lifetime. To his friends who cherished our dad, please remember he cherished your friendships for life. His family and friends were his life’s purpose and he lived each day of his life to the fullest, never losing faith in God. On January 21st as we celebrated Martin Luther King day and the inauguration of our Commander In Chief, our father made the decision to reunite with our mother. So on this day we celebrate his life and know that in the end he was surrounded by love of family and friends. Harold is survived by his daughters Patricia (Charles) Johnson, Loraine (James) Winterbottom, Serena Pierre and Angela (Robert) Page; his grandchildren, Jason, Alexandra, Vanessa, Aliya, Michael, Shayla, Kyra and Karina; his great-grandchild Frankie Mary-Ella; his siblings, Donald and Florita; and his many relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

Cemetery:
He will be laid to rest in the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon.

Service:
Services will be held at McCune Garden Chapelfuneral on Tuesday, January 29 at 11 a.m.
