Obituary for Harold 'Doug' Davis
Harold ‘Doug’ Davis, 82, of Vacaville passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday, Dec. 6, in Vacaville. He was born in Fresno, Calif. on Dec. 30, 1928. Doug work at Mechanics Bank for 40 years. He began his career July 14 as a teller. He became an Assistant Vice President and manager in 1974. He loved golf, fishing, hunting, traveling, family and friends. Prior to moving to Vacaville in 1994, resided in El Sobrante. Graduated from Richmond High in 1948. Doug served his communities in the following clubs; Jr. Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, Lyons, Richmond 20/30, YMCA and Chamber of Commerce. Family wishes to express their appreciation to Dr. Van Aken, doctors and nurses at UCD and Northbay Hospital. nurses and staff at Vacaville Convalescent and Rehab. Doug is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Jo Davis; daughters and son-in-law, Cathy Stever, and Shelley and Loyd Bonfante; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Lisa Davis; 9 grandchildren, Lisa, Michelle, Eric, Mark, Jordan, Skyler, Dawn, Michael and Andrea; 6 great-grandchildren, Ocean, Sage, Makayla, Sean, Audrey and Owen.
