Obituary for Geraldine Vasconcelles
Geraldine Vasconcelles, of Fairfield passed away at Napa Valley Care Center after a long illness. She was 85. Geraldine was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on Oct. 16, 1930, to Louie and Mary DeCoito. She worked as a secretary for Hickam Field Air Base and Travis Air Force Base for over 40 years. Geraldine was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church for many years. She enjoyed baking, eating Chinese food and spending time with her grand kids. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela Vasconcelles-Vicario (Art Vicario) and Lois Enriques (John Enriques); son and daughter-in-law, Terry Vasconcelles (Deborah Vasconcelles); three grandchildren, Bradley and Aaron Vasconcelles and Dalton Enriques; four great-grandchildren, Alanna and Alivia Vasconcelles and Emilia and Alice Vasconcelles; her friends, Marie Marks and Evie Costa in Hawaii. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Elmer “Frank” Franklin Vasconcelles; son, Scott Vasconcelles; sister and brother-in-law, Eilene and Doyle Wright; parents, Louie and Mary DeCoito. A time for visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. with Rosary recited at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015, at McCune Garden Chapel, 212 Main St., Vacaville. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Father Rodolfo Llamas at 10 a.m. on Wednesday Dec. 16, 2015, at Holy Spirit, 1070 N. Texas St., Fairfield. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in memory of Geraldine to Holy Spirit.
