Obituary for Gerald "Jerry" Dotson
Gerald (Jerry) (aka Ralph) D. Dotson, 72, of Vacaville & Indio, received his angel wings after a long hard fight with Covid-19. He was born February 17, 1948 in Esterville, IA. Jerry traveled to many states across the U.S. for work and overseas selling lambskins. During his travels he made some very close friends that meant the world to him. He worked for Superior Farms in Dixon for over 30 years doing what he loved best – sales and mentoring the next generation. He was very proud of his company. Jerry loved playing golf, shuffleboard, and cards in Diamond Grove with his buddies then off to RCB for the winter to play golf, got brave enough to do Karaoke and was in choir. Jerry is survived by his wife and best friend, Pam; brother Brian (Donna) Dotson; sons, Brad (Stephanie) Dotson and Brett Dotson; grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Jack of Austin, TX; stepsons, Justin (Christy) Smith, Nathan (Angela) Smith; step-grandchildren, Aliyah (Guenevere), Tanner, Marin, Parker, Cooper and Bavler all from Vacaville. He was preceded in death by parents, Merlin & Veloris; sister Coreen and Brother-in-law Marv Mattfeld all of IA. Jerry is our hero and is loved very much. Per his request there will be no services. Just have a shot of Tequila in his honor!
