Georgia Belle Lawrence, 90, a long-time resident of Vacaville passed away after a long illness on July 17. Georgia was born on Sept. 11, 1919 to Clarence and Clara Stevens who were married in Vacaville.Georgia was loved and cared for by all the staff at Parkview Private Care Home and she will be greatly missed. She especially enjoyed the company of her caregivers, Mario and Ding. She was also loved by her niece, Diana Reeves (Duane); sisters-in-law, Nita Rice, Wanda Paloma, Wilma Burnett and Jean Lawrence; several nieces, nephews and many close friends including Mary and her long time friend and caregiver Stella Caldwell and, devoted friend Ada Pruett who spent time visiting with her regularly until the end.Georgia was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Lawrence; sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Bill Gorohoff; nephew, David Gorohoff; parents, Clarence and Clara Stevens and her grandparents, George Martin and Sarah Stevens, formerly of Vacaville.Georgia was a third generation Vacaville resident; she worked in the lab at Basic Vegetable before retiring in 1982. She enjoyed going to church at Vaca Valley Christian Life Center, watching Christian programs on television, crocheting and going for car rides. Georgia and Genes favorite place to eat was Pietros #2.A viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 28, from 9 - 11 a.m. at McCune Garden Chapel with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. also at McCune Garden Chapel. Burial will be at Vacaville Elmira Cemetery. Georgias nephew Johnny Wilson will officiate over the services.Those who cannot attend the services are invited to join the family for a reception following the burial.
