Obituary for George 'Yoy' Hasapis
Passed away in Yuma, AZ on November 26, 2009, at the age of 81. Born in Roseville, CA on January 18, 1928. Survived by wife of 56 years, Ruth Hasapis; sons Grey (Terry) and Jim (Tani) Hasapis; sister, Martha (Dave) and Arlene; grandchildren, Corinne, Carlye, Alec, Lauren and Kennadye. He was preceded in death by his father James, mother Helen, brothers, Peter and Deno, and sister Thelma. He was a WW II Veteran, member of the American Legion and the Masonic Lodge #222. Visitation will be held Monday, December 7 from 11:00 to 12:15 pm followed by funeral service at 12:30pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 305 N. Lincoln, Dixon, CA. Bishop Thomas J. Maseda will officiate. Interment will be at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Rd, Dixon, CA. Contributions preferred to the National Parkinson Foundation.
