Obituary for Gary Lee Adams
Gary Lee Adams, 69, of Vacaville passed away surrounded by his wife and children on August 1, 2018. He was born to William and Audrey Adams in Bentleyville, Pennsylvania on October 13, 1948. Gary is survived by his wife of 45 years, Stephanie (Ford) and their three children; son Damien, his wife Melissa, their children Jackson and Dylan; daughter Natasha (Tudbury), her husband Jason, their children Lili and Alex; son Ryan P., his wife Marisa, their children Myles and Ryley. He is also survived by brothers, William (Mardy), Keith (Cheryl) and various members of his extended family. Upon his enlistment into the United States Air Force in 1968, he served 4 years as a military police officer. Shortly after he completed his service at Travis Air Force Base he met the love of his life, Stephanie. They married and built their home in Vacaville where they raised their children. Gary worked for Elliott Homes for 43 years. Starting as a laborer, he worked his way up to become a dedicated Superintendent. He loved his job, the people he worked with, and the people he met along the way. Gary was an avid golfer, baseball coach and sports enthusiast. You could find him on the golf course, hear him in the stands or see him in his Steelers jersey with his “Terrible Towel”. He enjoyed mowing their large property on his beloved lawnmower, “Trigger” and watching his kids and grandkids play sports. Gary enjoyed a little hustle whether it was a game of pool, cards, or horseshoes. “Again too”, he had a great sense of humor, loved a good time but most of all, loved his family. Services will be held on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 1:00 p.m., at McCune Garden Chapel, 212 Main Street, Vacaville, California 95688. A reception will be held at the Adams residence following services.
