Franklin Colcol was born in Itogon, Benguet, Philippines during World War II. He completed high school and pursued a degree in Civil Engineering at Baguio Colleges in the Philippines.
While studying part-time in college, he worked diligently as an operator assistant at Piltel a Filipino phone company, and a jeepney driver as well.
In 1978, he moved to Saudi Arabia to work as a project engineer for ARAMCO, an American oil company, where he remained until 1996.
Following his time abroad, Franklin immigrated to the United States and settled in California. Never one to remain idle, he continued working in logistics, communications, and as a maintenance technician at various facilities. He retired in 2023 due to health issues.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Rose, and his children: Josephine, Henry, Joseph, Keithley, and Maureen; his sons-in-law Edward and Bill; his daughters-in-law Rizza and Milafe; and his grandchildren Abigaile, Samantha, Cheyenne, and Sorine Jille.
Franklin was the second of eleven children. He is now reunited with his father Luis Colcol Sr., mother Aquilina Colcol, son John, grandchildren Angel, Jodi and Emily, sister Violeta and brothers Virgilio and Arthur.
Franklin will always be remembered as an exceptionally hardworking, loving, and caring husband, father, grandfather and brother. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
