Obituary for Frank M. Avila
Frank Avila, age 89, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his wife and daughter, on July 30, 2020. Frank was Born March 28, 1931 in Vacaville, Ca to Emilio and Victoria Avila, and Raised in Vacaville, Ca. He married his Love Barbara, in South Lake Tahoe August 8, 1987. Frank was a wonderful man who always put family first.
Frank was a Korean War Veteran and fought in Heartbreak Ridge, one of the Biggest, most intense Battles in Korea. He was awarded many different medals, but lost a lot of great friends along the way. After he got out of the military he became a mailman for 40 years here in Vacaville. He loved walking his route, talking to as many people as he could, never knew a stranger.
Frank is survived by his Wife Barbara Avila of 33 Yrs, Daughter Becky Avila, his Son Mike Avila, his Step-Son Ray Ross, his Brother Tony Avila(Roulou), his Sister Anna Brown, 6 Grandkids, and 1 Great GrandChild. As well as, many Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.
