Oralie Quintanilla Ford, 79, of Dixon, passed away after a brief illness. She was born Jan. 21, 1930 in Alvin, Texas. Mrs. Ford was a substitute teacher for 30 years in Dixon, Davis, Winters, and West Sacramento Unified School Districts. She enjoyed traveling, attending Catholic Church, studying her familys genealogy, Mexican Folkloric and Flamenco dancing. She also loved teaching piano and the Spanish language and culture. Oralie was preceded in death by her parents Jose Quintanilla and Tomasa Villareal. She is survived by her husband Douglas J Ford of 54 years and 10 months of Dixon; daughters and son-in-law, Lisa and John Wilson of Rocklin, Andrea Pacot of Dixon; son, James of Falls Church, VA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dale and Dolores Ann Nielsen of Tillamook, OR, Bob and Loretta Pena of Show Low, AZ, Jerrie Ford of Green Valley, AZ.; sisters and brother-in-law, Casey Thomassen, Gloria and William Kinkaid and Estela Dorsett all of Houston TX; uncle and aunt, Robert and Antonia of Alvin, TX; 2 grandchildren, Matthew Bryce Kesti of Hannover, Germany and Jennifer Fry of Sacramento; 1 great-grandchild, Mariusz Braden Kesti of Hannover, Germany, and long-time friends, Raquel Hays of Flagstaff, AZ, Eleanor Garcia Valdez of Fairfield, Sue OConner of Dixon.A Catholic Prayer Service with Father Carlos Farfan officiating, will be held Wednesday, Sept. 30, at 10:30 a.m. at McCune Garden Chapel. Burial to follow at 12:30 p.m. at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery.
