Obituary for Eugene LaVerne Jefcoat
Eugene LaVerne Jefcoat, 98, a resident of Vacaville for over 60 years. Our beloved father, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Vacaville, following a lengthy illness. Born in Firth, Idaho. He was a retired airplane mechanic at Travis Air Force Base. Member of the Vacaville Church of the Nazarene for almost 60 years where he was Sunday School Superintendent, choir member and soloist. Member of National Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE). Predeceased by Violet Jefcoat, his wife of 72 years and daughter, Mary Adams. Also predeceased by brothers, Cleo Jefcoat (Irene), Cloyce Jefcoat (Ida), Carl Jefcoat (Elsie), Lloyd Jefcoat (Nova) and John Nichols (Doris); sisters, Freddie Jernberg (Roy), Wilma Robbins (Earl) and Fern Jefcoat. Survived by sons, Eugene Jefcoat Jr (Jeanette) and David Jefcoat (Holly) and daughters, Kathryn Jefcoat and Julie Pelser (David); one sister, Ruby Way (Glenn); 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 13 great great grandchildren. Graveside service with burial, at 11 a.m., Friday, May 16, at the Chapel, Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery, David Pelser (son-in-law), officiating.
