Obituary for Ella Pierre
Ella Pierre passed away peacefully from cancer in her home surrounded by loved ones on Sept. 29, 2011. She was born Jan. 31, 1938.
She was a devout servant of the Lord, A loving and loyal wife to her husband of 51 years whom she described as her heart, her soul and her soul mate, a beloved mother to her 4 daughters providing unconditional love, support and humor to brighten the mood, a compassionate and supportive sister, aunt, cousin, Nana and Great-Nana, a generous, forgiving and selfless friend and a non-judgmental person towards others. She only saw the good in people and was truly grateful for what each and every person she loved brought to her life. Family meant everything to her and to have known her is to know that everyone she loved was her family.
Time will heal, the memories of her will soothe and all the love, wisdom and joy she brought to this life will live on in her children and beautiful grandchildren that are her legacy.
The stars shine brighter because she is among them.
Ella is survived by her husband Harold, her daughters Patricia (Charles) Johnson, Loraine (James) Winterbottom, Serena Pierre and Angela (Robert) Page, her grandchildren Jason, Alexandra, Vanessa, Aliya, Michael, Shayla, Kyra and Karina, her great-grandchild Frankie Mary-Ella, her siblings Lottie, Jim, Ezra, Elesie and Minnie and her many relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
Services will be held at McCune Garden Chapel, 212 Main Street, Vacaville. Viewing will be on Thursday, Oct. 6, from 5 - 8 p.m. with funeral service on Friday, Oct. 7, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ed Sanderson, Sr. of the Church of Christ officiating.
