Obituary for Eileen Marie Ashley
Eileen Marie Ashley left this world, surrounded by her loving family, on April 23, 2021 to join the Lord, her parents, and sisters in the hereafter.

Eileen was born on May 25, 1946 in Boston, Massachusetts, to Johanna (Hussey) Naughton and William Naughton.

Eileen became a Registered Nurse in 1967 and joined the United States Air Force in April 1968. She served in the USAF Nurse Corp for 20 years. Eileen was one of the first 12 nurses in the USAF to be trained as a Nurse Practitioner, Retiring in May 1988.
She met her husband, Raymon, while serving at March AFB, in Riverside, California and both made Suisun City, California and Vacaville, California their home upon retiring from Travis AFB, California.

From 1997 through 2010, Eileen worked as the Breast Cancer Care Nurse Coordinator at David Grant Medical Center, Travis AFB, California.

Eileen liked reading and gardening along with sewing for the special children in her life. She also liked trips to Lake Tahoe and California coastal beaches with her soulmate, Raymon.
Eileen leaves behind her husband, of 45 years of marriage, Raymon; daughter, Rachael Marie (Ashley) Harding; son, Raymon Vincent Ashley; step-daughter, Shelia Green; she also leaves behind a very special niece, Barbara Ann (Merrick) Wood; son-in-law, Jared Harding; granddaughters, Emma Ashley Harding, Lucy Marie Harding, Josephine Grace Harding; daughter-in-law, Orialis Marie (Serrano) Ashley; grandson, Rylan Davis Ashley; son-in-law, Ralph Green; nephew-in-law, Michael Wood; and multiple additional nieces and nephews, grandnieces and nephews, and great-grandnieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Margaret A. (Naughton) (Merrick) Banta and Mary Francis (Naughton) McLeod.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 6th, 5 to 8 p.m., and funeral service held Friday, May 7th, 9 a.m. at McCune Chapel. Interment will be at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery. Due to COVID restrictions there will be a limited number of guests allowed for the visitation, service and interment.

In lieu of flowers or remembrances, please make donations to the American Cancer Society, Leukemia/Lymphoma Society, or the Susan G. Komen Society for Breast Cancer Research.
