Obituary for Edward John Cicka
Edward Cicka, a resident of Dixon, passed away at the age of 78. Edward was a previous resident of Antioch and graduated from Antioch High School in 1948. From there he joined the Air Force serving from 1949 to 1953.
Ed started working for PG&E in Antioch and transferred to Burney, CA in 1969. He retired after working there 35 years. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Vacaville and a member of the IBEW Local 1245. He loved fishing and traveling.
Edward is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sally, of Dixon; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberley (John) Peete, of Dixon; son, Edward G. Cicka of Bothell, WA; sister, Marie Johnstone of Vallejo; brother, Paul Cicka of Union, MO; grandsons, Joshua and Jacob Peete; great-granddaughter, Melody Peete and several nieces and nephews.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Anna Cicka; sister, Ann Duda and his step-mother Mary Cicka.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, December 29th at 1:30 pm at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Rd., Dixon. Pastor Scott Stone of St. Johns Lutheran Church will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your favorite charity or the Salvation Army.
