Obituary for Dorothy Pauline Copeland

Dorothy Pauline Copeland, lovingly known as Pauline, passed away peacefully on the evening of May 6, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on October 6, 1950, in the Springfield Ozarks area of Missouri, she was the cherished daughter of Haskell and Dorris Call.

Pauline was one of eleven siblings—Loretta, Bob, Lena, Norma, Susie, Bill, Martha, Jerry, and Jackie—who, along with their parents, relocated to California around 1961. Raised in a large and loving family, Pauline developed a warm, resilient spirit that touched the lives of all who knew her.

She married Garry Copeland Sr., and together they had one son, Garry Copeland Jr., lovingly known as “Little Garry.” Pauline and Little Garry shared a playful and humorous bond. She affectionately called him “Kid,” and he often made her laugh with his mischievous jokes—like the time he gave her a fake winning scratcher ticket. Their relationship was filled with love, laughter, and lighthearted moments.

Known for her kind nature, lovable personality, and wonderful sense of humor, Pauline truly danced to the beat of her own drum. She lived life on her own terms and left behind a legacy of warmth, strength, and joy.

Pauline is survived by her three grandsons: Robert Copeland, Xavier Copeland, and Garry Copeland Jr. She is now reunited in heaven with her beloved son, Little Garry, where she may rest in eternal peace.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
