Doris leaves behind her much beloved husband and very best friend Vernon L. Minenna. The two spent a wonderful 30 plus years together, as man and wife, living them as a picture perfect example of what a beautiful and loving marriage should be. When God made woman, Doris was the kind of woman he had in mind. She was sweet, kind, loving, and always there for others. Born in San Francisco to on April 8th, 1945 to John and Edna Haas, she grew up in the City’s Parkside District, and was a graduate of Lincoln High School. Prior to her retirement in 1990, Doris spent many years working in San Francisco’s Financial District for the Del Monte Corp. Doris is pre-deceased by her parents, as well as, both her brother Walter Haas and his wife Joyce. Doris was blessed to have 4 step children she loved as her own: Judith Minenna, Robert (Leilani) Minenna, Wendy (Forrest) Schall, and Frank (Laura) Minenna. To Vern’s children, she was their mom in every way, shape and form. Additionally, Doris is survived by six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. All of them will miss her greatly . She will also be greatly missed by her nephew Tim Haas, niece Brenda (Aaron) Taylor, great niece and Goddaughter McKenna Taylor, and great nephew Jon Taylor. They all adored their aunt Doris as she was so much a part of their lives. Being Godparents to McKenna was a role of which both Doris and Vernon were especially proud. There will be a private memorial. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a favorite charity.
