Obituary for Donald Edward Krueger
Donald Edward Krueger Sr., 84, of Redwood City passed away in Vacaville on Friday, March 11. After several months of declining health, Don died peacefully with his beloved wife Mabel by his side.
Don was born in Wisconsin on July 4, 1937, to mother Dorothy and father Edward Krueger. He met and married Mabel Williams. They were married for 62 years. They lived in Redwood City where they raised their two children, Debra and Don Jr. Don enlisted in the United States Navy at age 17 and served from 1955 to 1959 in the Vietnam War. After that he worked as an automotive mechanic for 40 years. Don was always willing to lend a helping hand with anyone who needed his help working on their cars.
Don is survived by his wife Mabel; daughter Debra and spouse Skip of Dixfield Maine and son Don Jr. and spouse Maureen of Dublin, CA; grandchildren Daniel and his spouse Michelle, Jacqueline, JD, Jessica, Jason and his spouse Katherine, Abby and her spouse Rodney; and great-grandchildren Michael, Daniel, Andrew, Tatiana, Melody, Andre, Darrin, Payten, Jeremiyah, Daisy and Leo; brothers Rodger and Dale; and sisters Patsy and Laverne. Don was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters Audrey, Beverly and Barbara.
All held him in the highest regard and loved him dearly.
A military service will be held at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery for immediate family.
