Obituary for Delbert 'Tom' Thomas Fletcher
Delbert "Tom" Thomas Fletcher, 72, of Dixon passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, April 7 in Dixon. He was born on Sept. 25, 1937 in Fort Robinson, Neb.Tom worked at Millwright for 27 years, retiring in 1998. He was also a farmer in Alameda and Solano counties for 55 years.Tom was interested in Model Ts, old tractors and farm machinery. He enjoyed going to farm equipment sales and Model T swap meets.Tom is survived by his wife of 54 years, Loretta Fletcher of Dixon; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Bev Fletcher of Reno, Bill and Carolyn Fletcher of Livermore, Vince and Bernice Fletcher of Stoneyford; sister and brother-in-law, Ione and Ollie Kleven of Castro Valley; daughters and sons-in-law, Delynda and Bert Eldridge of Dixon, Deanna and Doug Alloway of Dixon; sons and daughters-in-law, Dale and Kelly Fletcher of Dixon, Daryl and Karyl Fletcher of Madera, Daren and Britta Fletcher of Single Springs, and Tim Fletcher of Dixon;13 grandchildren, Lynnette, David, John and Mark Eldridge, Katelyn and Tyler Alloway, Amanda and Matthew Fletcher, Jerad, Kathryn and Kristyn Fletcher, Jack and Paige Fletcher. He was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Muriel Fletcher, son-in-law, Bill Eldridge of Dixon, and son, Gene Fletcher of Dixon. A visitation will be held Thursday, April 15 from 5 to 8 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. at Milton Carpenter Funeral Home, 569 N. First St., Dixon. A Mass will be held Friday, April 16 at 10 a.m. at St. Peters Catholic Church with Father Eduardo Mendoza officiating. Burial to follow at Silveyville Cemetery, Dixon.
