Obituary for David Vasquez
David Vasquez July 22, 1941 - March 25, 2013 David Vasquez, 71, of Vacaville passed away March 25, 2013, after a battle with esophageal cancer. David worked for 10 years at Hines Wholesale Nursery and more than 30 years in the construction industry as a carpenter. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, RV trips with his wife, Rosalie and their very special friends, spending time at the cabin at Buck’s lake and being an ever supportive fan of the St. Louis Rams. He was an active member of the Vacaville Alumni Association. Preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Carmen; and son, David. Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Rosalie Vasquez; brothers, Albert Vasquez (Bertha), Steven Vasquez (Donna), Fredie Vasquez; sisters, Lola Castelli (Tony), Pat Camuti (Tony), Gloria Scalley (Butch); daughters, Irene Vasquez, Veronica Vasquez Purcell (Thomas), Kim Loney (Ron), Chris Talbot (Rick), Cyndi Stanfield (Scott); son, Michael Vasquez; 14 grandchildren, Carissa (Brandon), Lauren, Ryan, Ashley, Tyler, Bryana, Matthew, Victoria (Anthony), Racquel, Alexis, Vincent, Benjamin, Samuel and Brooklynn; four great grandchildren, Brevon, Alyna, Koen and A.J. Visitation and viewing will be held Monday, April 1, at 9 a.m., at St. Mary’s Church, Vacaville. Rosary and eulogy, 10 a.m., offered by Brother David Caretti, FSC of St. Mary’s College High School (Berkeley) officiating. Mass will be at 10:30 a.m., at St. Mary’s Church, by Rev. Fredhelito Gucor of St. Mary’s Church, VV. Burial at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery. Reception following services at St. Mary’s Parish Hall.
