Obituary for David H. Norman
David Buzzard H. Norman, 67, of Vacaville passed away from cancer on Sept. 14, at his home.
He was born in Fairfield on April 15, 1944.
David was proud to serve with the 101st Airborne and his Harley Davidson group. He was an avid deer hunter and loved working on Classic cars. He was very proud of the High Jump record he held for many years at Vaca High and was known to have popsicles in the freezer for the kids who came by. He worked for Vacaville Unified School District for 13 years retiring in 1986.
David is survived by his wife of 38 years, Ginger; son, David J. Norman; stepson, Danny Biggs; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Larry and Leo (Carolyn) Norman; sisters and brothers-in-law, Wanda (Bill) Marin, Carolyn (Randy) Poole, and Linda (Ron) Hegdebrink; nephews, Willy and Dakotah Gloria. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Blanche Norman; brothers, bobby and John.
A burial will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 4, at 2 p.m. at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery. A Celebration of Life to follow at 3 p.m. at Hampton Inn, 800 Mason Street, Vacaville. Memorial contributions may be made to Yolo Hospice of Cancer Society.
