Obituary for Dana L. Creason
Dana Ellen (Long) Creason, loving wife, sister, and aunt died July 28, 2016, after a brief battle with liver disease. She was 53. Dana was born on May 8,1963 in Red Bluff, CA. She grew up and attended schools in Ventura, CA, graduating high school from St. Bonaventure in 1981. She attended the University of Southern California before pursuing a passion for the culinary arts. She graduated with a degree in Business Administration from Heald College in 2005. Dana loved to laugh and had a clever sense of humor, which she shared widely with family and friends. She was known for her kindness and willingness to help anyone in need. Friends and family members appreciated her big heart and readiness to listen to others. Dana was an avid reader, loved music, and creating recipes for baked goods. She was a master baker, known for her incredible desserts, which she sold to restaurants and catering companies in California, Florida and the Philadelphia area. Baking was a passion she pursued throughout her adult life and her cheesecakes were exceptional. Dana lived her life with energy and creativity. She was an excellent ballet dancer in her youth and had a beautiful voice. She was crowned Jr. Miss of Ventura County her senior year of High School. Most recently Dana worked as the bridal registry consultant for Macy’s in Fairfield, CA. She easily connected with people and had a talent for sales. She met her husband, Jeff Creason in recovery and they supported each other through their 13 years of marriage. He was the love and light of her life. They enjoyed weekend getaways and traveling around Europe and Hawaii. Dana is preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Alyce Long. She is survived by her husband, Jeff Creason of Vacaville; sisters, Debra (Barry) Nash of Vacaville, Darcy (Andy) Clevenger of Oceanside, CA, Diane (Dashiell) Long of Shanghai, China, and Dawn (Bob) Long of Seattle, WA; sisters-in-law, Mary Madrigal of Hilo, HI, Debbie (Wilkie) Hayashidai of Hilo, HI; brothers, Darryn Long of Ventura, and Darryl (Jennifer) Long of California, MD; brothers-in-law, Jim (Danielle) Creason of Tucson, AZ and Tim Creason of (Oroville, CA); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service is planned for 1:00 pm on August 20, 2016 at McCune Garden Chapel, 212 Main St. in Vacaville, CA.
