A Celebration of Life Service will take place at 1:00 pm Friday, November 18, at McCune Garden Chapel, 212 Main St. Vacaville, Ca. Cori was taken away from us too early from a sudden illness on October 17th, 2016 She was born Corinne Cheryl Nofuentes on July 11th 1955 in Fairfield, Ca., and was raised in Vacaville most of her life. She married soon after high school and was blessed with two children, Nathan and Trista Plitt and is also survived by her grandchildren, Madison, Evan, McQuire and Gracie along with her brother Frank and sister Debbie and many nieces and nephews. In 2006, Cori was re-married to Richard Burr. She then inherited 2 more Grandchildren, Bradyn and Carter. Cori soon after, retired from the State Prison System (CMF Vacaville) after 20 years of service in accounting. In May of 2014 Cori and Rich moved from Vacaville, to a small mountain community of Feather Falls, Ca. to live out their retirement years. Cori adapted well from a city girl to county girl, where she enjoyed visits from grandchildren, family and friends. She was happy gardening, looking after her 2 dogs, 3 cats, and 6 chickens that became her new passion. She became involve in her new community and enjoyed camping trips, but most of all, loved the peaceful serenity of her mountain home. Cori touched our hearts and made us smile She will now Rest in Peace with her parents Manual and Beverly.
