Obituary for Charlotte Evon Martin
Charlotte Evon Martin passed away Friday Feb. 6, 2015 in Vacaville, Calif. She was 55. Charlotte was born March 23, 1959 at Larson Air Force Base, Washington to Len and Carol Thatcher Martin and was raised in Vacaville, Calif. Charlotte attended grade school in Vacaville and high school in Dixon. Charlotte grew up working at her family’s business, 'Martin's Metal Fabrication & Welding, Inc.” with her parents and her siblings, John Martin, David Martin and Kelly Rohlfs. Charlotte was essential to the family business and its success. She did everything from billing, running the office to even sand blasting. She loved to teach and growing up she enjoyed teaching her younger siblings to read and write and going over their homework. Charlotte was a great person always offering to help anyone and take care of anyone who was in need. Charlotte devoted her later years to taking caring for her aging parents. Those who knew Charlotte would tell you she was the most honest, decent, caring person ever. Charlotte was a huge animal lover and advocate. Charlotte was an ardent gambler and loved to play bingo and visit Cache Creek with her mother. While in her twenties, Charlotte was going to get her pilot license, but motion sickness changed her mind of flying. She is predeceased by her parents, Len Martin, Carol Martin and her brother John Martin. She is survived by her brother David and Martha Martin of Vacaville, Calif. sister Kelly and Sam Rohlfs of Mountain View, Calif. nieces Chantelle Martin and Sonja Martin of Dixon, Calif., nephews Steven Rohlfs of Vacaville and Maxwell Rohlfs of Mountain View, Calif. Funeral services will be held Tuesday Feb. 17th at 10am at McCune Garden Chapel in Vacaville, Calif. Interment will follow at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.
