Obituary for Charles D. Morales
Charles D. Morales, 56, went to his final resting place on May 17, 2016 after a tragic car accident in Sagle, Idaho. Charles (Chuck) was born in Castro Valley California and was a long time resident of the greater Vacaville/Winters area until the past 10 years where he resided in northern Idaho. He was a graduate of Armijo High School in 1978 and served his country proudly in the US Army and was a paratrooper with the 82nd Air Born division. After serving in the army he became a tradesman where he spent most of his adult career working as a union carpenter. He was a likeable guy, with an incredible sense of humor and had many friends. He was proud of his Spanish heritage and loved to live life on the edge. An exceptional cook and barbecue master, loyal friend and good hearted person. He loved his family, friends and his country. He is preceded in death by his mother Arlene J. Morales, Maternal Grandparents Mike and Aurelia Hemenez and Paternal grandparents Mary and Antonio Morales. Chuck is survived by his father, Anthony R. Morales; children, son Matthew Morales, and daughter Sara (Nate) Kent, grandchildren Amelia and Jonah Kent; sister, Wendy (Terry) Smaystrla, Nephews; Nick Smaystrla (Deanna Shimboff) Katie (Justin) Jones and Mike Smaystrla and numerous relatives. A Funeral and Reception celebration of life will be held Friday, June 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at McCune Garden Chapel, 212 Main Street Vacaville. Reception following at Vacaville Opera House.
