Obituary for Brian Allan Wadell
After a valiant 7-month fight with pancreatic cancer Brian has gone home to rest. Born and raised in southern California, he’s lived in northern California for over 40 years. He worked as Director of Reprographics at UC Davis for the past 11 years after retiring from 25 years with Sodexho Food Service. He loved sports and rowed on the crew team at UCI. He played racquetball at BYU and always enjoyed softball. Back and shoulder issues ended much of his sports participation but he thoroughly attending and watching baseball, football and golf on tv. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served a 2-year mission to Uruguay and Paraguay in 1972 after attending UC Irvine. Upon his return he attended and graduated from BYU in Utah with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. He served in many capacities within the church. He was a leader, teacher and mentor to many and especially loved working with the youth. He is survived by his parents Roger and Leola of Santa Ana, his wife Betty of Dixon, daughter Lisa (Erik) Moll of San Antonio, sons Bryce (Corinne) of Houston, Kevin (Tiffany) of Houston, Marc (Sara) of Corona, and 14 grandchildren. He will be loved forever and missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
