Obituary for Betty S. Wiechmann
A memorial service for Betty Wiechmann will be held Nov. 16, at 1 p.m. at Orchard Avenue Baptist Church. Pastor Ken Doan will officiate.
With family members at her side, Mrs. Wiechmann passed away at her home in Vacaville on Nov. 10. Mrs. Wiechmann was Betty Lucille Sherman on March 26, 1932 in Vacaville. She graduate from Vacaville High School in 1949. She married the love of her life Donald E. Wiechmann on Nov. 4, 1961 and just week celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary surrounded by her family. Betty lived her entire life in Vacaville, retiring from Pacific Telephone in 1986.
Mrs Wiechmanns faith in the Lord Jesus Christ came later in her life. It was strong and sure faith she held to even during her last days when she declared she was looking forward to meeting her Lord. She is remembered for her warmth, kindness and love for her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Susie Sherman. She is survived by her husband of 50 years Donald Wiiechmann; son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Corrina Wiechmann; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Moses Atencio; three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and sisters Pauline Cauldwel and Bobbie Aagergard.
Mrs. Wiechmann requested that donations in her memory by given to Missions work at Orchard Avenue Baptist Church, 301 N. Orchard Ave. Vacaville, Ca. 95688 where she attended for her last 15 years and found sweet fellowship and comfort.
