Beauman Harrel, 81, died Monday, October 5, 2009, in a hospice facility in Mt. Pleasant, SC.
Born July 25, 1928, in Pittsburg, Texas he was the son of John A. Harrel and Maude Davis Harrel. He was a US Army veteran having served during WWII as a medical technician. During his working career he was a government contractor and was later employed as a marshal for a golf course. Mr. Harrel is survived by his daughter, Gloria June Chaloux of Vacaville, CA; six grandchildren: Daniel Beauman Chaloux of MI, Alyson June Thompson of Summerville, SC, Stefanie June Chaloux of Vacaville, CA, MSgt. Bradley Beauman Harrel II, USMC of Chicago, IL, Sean Louis Harrel of Summerville, SC and Jennifer June Chaloux of Vacaville, CA; twelve great-grandchildren: Brad, Victoria, Jessica, Kaila, Chelsea, Bradley, Jordyn, Daniel, Caleb, Lana, Annalee and Makalia. He was preceded in death by his wife, June S. Harrel and his son Bradley Beauman Harrel.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 13 at 1:00pm, McCune Garden Chapel. Interment will follow service at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
