Obituary for Anna Maurine Standifer
Anna Maurine Standifer passed away peacefully on September 13, 2016 in her home. Anna was born in Ochelata, Oklahoma to parents, Louis and Alice Olson. Anna moved to Vacaville as a toddler and she remained until her arrival in heaven meeting her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ face to face. What a time of rejoicing September 13th was for Anna as she praised Him along with her husband, daughter, mother, many friends and family. Anna retired from Basic American Foods after 18 years of service, taught Sunday School at Trinity Baptist Church and spent her retirement traveling with friends. Anna loved sports including Nascar, the 49ers, the Sacramento Kings and especially the San Francisco Giants. Anna’s last road trip was to Arizona with her grandson to the San Francisco Giants Spring Training. Anna is survived by her daughter, Cynthia (Mark) Collins; grandchildren Gregory Collins and Laura Collins; son-in-law Kurt Placke; brother Louis (Carolyn) Olson Jr.; sister Margaret Sanford; sister-in-law Mary Olson and many nieces and nephews. Anna was preceded by her husband, Billy Joe Standifer; daughter, Linda Placke; brother Roy Olson; sister Doris Mendes and parents, Louis and Alice Olson. Service will be held at Trinity Baptist Church, 401 W. Monte Vista Avenue, Vacaville, CA on Thursday, September 22nd at 2:00 pm. Burial will be private. Donations can be made to Trinity Baptist Church Building Fund.
