Obituary for Anastasia "Stacy" Lynn Ingersoll

Anastasia Lynn Ingersoll

“Stacy”

Stacy, along with her twin sister Samantha, was born on February 1, 1979 in Vallejo, California. She was baptized at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Vacaville on April 1, 1979 by Father Arthur Wendell Hofmann.

From birth, it was apparent that Stacy, and Samantha, would have disabilities for the remainder of their lives. Throughout Stacy’s childhood, her parents were supported by many organizations that sought to maximize her potentials. The Me Too program, Irene Larsen Center, Special Olympics and the Golden West School Special Education program were just a few.

Many generous and compassionate friends and neighbors brightened her days, showering her with love and affection. Terri Jacobsen - the little Elf, Stacy Kramer, Kathy and Sherry Libel, Char England and Eloise Hampton are just a few of the wonderful people who helped her parents care for Stacy.

With adulthood came more challenges. Doris and Joe Camilleri became a second family to Stacy at their home in Sonoma, California. Additional programs such as North Bay Regional Center, Becoming Independent in Sonoma and Dungarvin Day Services in Santa Rosa helped Stacy to adapt to life as an adult.

Stacy, beautiful, funny and mischievous, passed away at the age of 45 from an unexpected illness at her parents’ home in Vacaville, California on June 28, 2024. She will be desperately missed and loved always.

Stacy is survived by her parents, Ray and Judy Ingersoll, her twin sister Samantha, her little sister Wendy Coombs, brother in law Cory Coombs, her brothers Michael and Joshua, sister in law Savannah (Joshua), her niece Melody (Coombs), nephews Ryland and Kayden (Coombs), her Great Aunt Elene Griffing, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at 1:00 PM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church 1791 Marshall Road in Vacaville, California. Interment will be at the Vacaville – Elmira Cemetery 522 Elmira Road in Vacaville, California.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society or your local organizations for the Disabled and Hospice.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of McCune Garden Chapel
