Agnes Rohrke, 85, of Vacaville, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, in San Diego, Calif., after an arduous struggle with Alzheimer's.
She was born on Oct. 30, 1925, in East New Market, Md., one of 14 children (nine brothers and five sisters). She moved to the Vacaville area in the mid '40s.
Agnes loved being involved with people and truly enjoyed her 20-year career as a hostess with Frontier Tours. She was a charter member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Vacaville. She was actively involved in the
Women of The Moose for many years.
Agnes was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Arlen W. Rohrke; and her parents, John and Hilda Tjaden.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Steve W. Rohrke and Suzanne Bond of San Diego, Calif., Richard and Kim Rohrke of Galt, Calif., and Paul Rohrke of Roseville, Calif.; sister, Helen Jackson of East New Market, Md.; four grandchildren, Tjaden Anne Rohrke, Reba, Tessa and Janice Rohrke; three step-grandchildren, Ty and Sky Dominguez, and Lindsay Scheppman.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 25, from 5 to 8 p.m., at McCune Garden Chapel. A funeral will be held on Thursday, May 26, at 11 a.m., at Bethany Lutheran Church. Pastor Vernon Oestmann will be officiating. Burial to follow at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.
