Obituaries

Gladys passed peacefully after a short battle with lung cancer. Born in Steelton, Penn., to parents, Samuel and Janice Bomgardner. In her teens, Gladys and her family moved to El Sobrante, CA. A graduate of Richmond Highs Class of "52". After graduation, Gladys went to work at Pacific Bell, then onto the University of California, Berkeley. After she retired she settled into Vacaville, CA., a place she loved, for 13 years. Gladys will be reunited with her husband, Walter (Ken) Bell; parents, Sam and Jenny; brother, Samuel Jr., and her sister, Sally Shaw. Gladys leaves behind her beloved dog, Molly; sister, Betty (Robert) Mello; brother, Glenn Bomgardener; brother-in-law, Robert Shaw; nephews, Mike and Mark Mello, David, Steven and Andrew Shaw; loving cousins and dear friends. A special thank you to Stephen and Laurel Young for their support and loving friendship, also thank you to Vistas Hospice and the staff at Emeritus Vacaville.
