Obituaries

Dorothy Marie Vieira passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, February 5, 2010, at the age of 89.  Dorothy was a 55 year Dixon resident who enjoyed painting landscapes and ceramics and planting flowers. She was also a true “girly-girl” and loved going to the beauty shop to get her nails and hair done.  She was a people lover who had a warm and generous heart. She is preceded in death by, her husband of 39 years, Clarence Vieira. She is survived by her son and daughter in law; Michael and Holly Vieira, and step-children: Clarence “Babe” Vieira and Terry Vieira., her grandchildren: Jeremy and Maggie Vieira, Corey Vieira, and Evann Vieira. Her great-grandchildren are: Sweetpea and Valerie Vieira. There will be a viewing at Milton Carpenter’s Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 10th from 5-8 p.m with Rosary at 7:00pm. Her funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, February 11, 2010 at the Silveyville Cemetery.
