Brian Keith Higbee 53, of Vacaville lost his battle to lung cancer, July 13, at David Grant Medical Center. He was born in Wichita, Kansas on July 8, 1959.
Brian proudly served in the United States Coast Guard from 1977 to 2001. He received numerous commencement honors for his outstanding performance of duty by meritorious services, which he upheld in the highest traditions of the United States Coast Guard. Brian flew as a HC-130H Flight Engineer and invested countless hours, often after the normal work day, mentoring fledgling air crewmen and Flight Engineer trainees, He was often commended for outstanding performance of duty. Brian loved to fly.
Brian went on to work for Tokyo Electron America for 10 years, he was a Senior Field Service Engineer and was admired and respected by his fellow peers as well as the customers he serviced. Brian spent countless hours traveling to key customer accounts when a problem needed to be resolved, he did this willingly with no questions asked. Brian was a main part of the service departmentís overall success.
Brian is survived by his devoted wife of 27 years Nadine, his two loving children Ryan and Allison, his brother Brett Higbee.
Brian is preceded in death by his parents Richard and Shirley Higbee and grandparents Bert and Geraldine Higbee.
Brian loved life and lived it to the fullest he enjoyed camping, boating, sailing and most of all spending time with his family. He gave his all to everything he did.
Brianís love for life, family and friends will be deeply missed.
A celebration of Brianís life will be held at McCune Garden Chapel in Vacaville on Friday July 27, at 1:00 pm
